Alternate account (Character Suggestions)

This is for the theoretical implementation of an Alt system which LSM has suggested may already be under design.

So i figured we could come here and give our ideas on how it should be balanced and worked out ^^

First off, if possible it would be nice if the alt 'character' could be directly linked to our account and login. Easier to moderate abuse that way and find out who is responsible (I imagine on Staff Side anyway if done right) and apply account level restrictions like my ideas below.

My ideas for the alt system is that the Alts only serve a purpose for fighting in another rank barrier without just bringing our original character down in some way. Which means the alt character is going to be restricted in many ways.

These ways could include:

Unable to obtain seats (So multiple characters on this account can't just take a bunch of seats and lock down multiple fracs)

Unable to control both character/accounts simultaneously.

Unable to rank passed R7 (If your original character is R8, why would you want another at R8? Besides you can't control both accounts at the same time)

Unable to send or receive currency through that character/account (Might be a pain, but making a second character has to be limited~)

[Restriction wise that is far as I can think xD]

Now a few things that could also be done is:

The alt and main account can send shards between each other or maybe even share premium status. [ex. Auras and other donor perks] (Let's face it, those equip and move slots are important xD)

The alt and main account could Share their account's release. (Not so sure about this one~ but who knows.) Or they could just roll their own release like everyone else xD would make it interesting to that way at least to me.

And... those are the only real ideas I actually have for this.

Oh, and Alts should always be the same race as the original account. To prevent any disruptive behavior to the opposite race.

I like the idea of getting an alt and here are some ideas that I think would be nice but I think everyone should be limited to just 1 alt and that's it.

First off the Alt should be linked directly to your account so that any bans received on your Alt apply directly to your main.

Also pvp count should be linked so that there is no I'll let you kill my alt 10 times with your main and you let me kill your alt 10 times stuff.

I would like to be able to get a seat with my alt because some squads/fraccions just don't do their OP so I might as well do OP for two seats. My idea on this is that if a player has an alt and main with Captain and LT seat both of the seats would sweep a total of 8 OP a day which is the total amount of OP required to hold both seats.

I don't like the idea of rank restrictions.
