As many of you know, after the new battle update, there's the alt system and vaizard / mPvP in the works, and many of you have suggestions to help balance PvP, or for events to increase activity. The many different threads in the forums can be messy, and there might be new suggestions that mirror or are similar to older ones that have been mentioned before, hence, this is a thread to consolidate and list out the different suggestions.

I'll be splitting the suggestions based on: Events, Battles, Places/World locations, PVP moves and Others, and I'll add all posted suggestions into the one for their catergory, PM me in game if you'd like to have the one that you posted changed.

Events:

Attendence event:

There could be a yen/move exp rewards for logging in daily, with maybe a 10% personal training boost for 3 hours every 15th day or so.


Daily/Weekly quests:


(e.g: Battle 20 AI, Defeat 3 KUA, do 40 feeds/patrols, Do 2 spars/pvps, etc)
These could give out yen, or move levels, and tokens which you could switch for aura/other premium items every week)

Battles

Training dummy: - Ivatias

An AI with a huge amount on health that doesn't attack on which to test your combos, since it's a non-threatening AI, you won't get any rewards or move exp from it.


Survival bosses:

There could be 10 stages like what it used to be, with mini-bosses appearing at stage 5 and stage 10, with an option to leave the battle after defeating the first mini-boss.

Squad hoard battles: - Ivatias

A seated officer could summon a hoard of AI for a survival battle if they're say, more than 3 members of the squad/fraccion online, with varying ranks and specs and numbers depending on who is fighting them. If all of the members make it out of the battle together, there'll be a x3~x5 stat and money gain depending on which of the officers are there. Could limit the summon for every 6 hours or so.


"Invader" AI: - Archer
An AI that spawns at random intervals 8~12 times a day, wtih increasing rewards with each consecutive one that you will, and a ranking in which whoever kills the most on that day will receive additional tokens/etc.

* Could also be used for events, ie, "Defeat 1337 Wereturkeys roaming around in Kyoto between 10th to 20th November to unlock Thankgiving exclusive items and holiday boost!"

Others:

Aura/Sword change tokens:
Quest rewards that are untradable, you could trade say, 4 for a weak aura or a zan name change, 7 for a strong aura, and 10 for a godly, 15 for a boost reroll, etc.

Boosts token:
Move exp/level boost token,
3 hour 10% training boost token,
x3 stat gain for the next 10 AI/KUA/PVP fights,
etc.

These are examples of possible quest rewards.

PVP/ Moves

AoE Elemental Hierarchy:
The different AoEs could be made to have different multipliers against the others:
ie, Fire resists 20% of Lightning's damage, and takes more from Ice.

eg, Fire->Lightning->Ice->Poison->Fire

This would mirror the way dissipate works extra effectively on barriers, and would aid Spirit users who do not have a dissipate, or have theirs on a cooldown.

An idea I had for squad/fraccion based Mpve, is that there could be a quest/event thing that each squad/fraccion could do a few times a day where they fight a horde of AI of the opposite race. The AI would be varied in their potential spawn ranks/stats based upon how many players there are and their ranks. The AI offenses would be based off of RNG %.
If the Captain/Espada takes place in the fight, all members gain a large boost. If the Lt./FC is there, a medium boost. If 3rd seat/HF is there, a small boost. If all 3 seats are there then a massive boost is given to all players (provided they collectively win)

ok how about this.at random times of the day these mini AI will spawn in KC/SS/HM at random locations(kinda like kua but the number of AI spawning in 24 hours can vary).whoever kills the most in 24 hours get like a certain amount of stat/yen/tokens*number of AI they killed or something to that effect every day :o could have a ranking system too like in world boss

Quests/Reward Tokens

    The Quests' purposes are to reward active players and encourage activity within the game. A lot of current WoB players are considered "active" by the system even if all they do is log in once a day to set an extended before vanishing back into the oblivion that is real life. There's literally not much to do on WoB unless you're a chatterbox and glued to the chat. Not having much people stick around online also makes it harder for other people to stick around (e.g.: PvP. Who do you PvP when everyone just logs in once every 4 hours?) Depending on what quests are used, they will also bait people out of their barracks or keep them online.


    General quests can be split into 3 categories: Daily, Weekly, and Monthly. Daily quests would be the most rewarding in the long-run and serve as basis for Monthlies, which will be more complicated and varied in terms of completely requirements. 


    Reward Tokens would be character-bound consumables that could be either permanent or temporary. Temporary tokens would give better boosts, but can only be used in a small time window [12-24 hrs after the completion of the quest?] while permanent tokens will give lesser boosts, but players would be able to save them for a more opportune time. [Time window will need to be adjusted based on how quests are turned in and how rewards are claimed. Automatic? Manually? If a reward isn't claimed, the quest won't refresh upon reset for the next cycle? To make it even harder, can players only accept 1 quest at a time per category?] 



      Examples of General Quests:
      Other possible Reward Token Boosts:

      • Increased Scan range
      • Decreased recovery time after death
      • Increased journal length
      • Increased avatar size-Increased AP gain

      Possible limiting factors:

      • Amount of boosts that can be activated at a time.
      • Potential to stack with other boosts




    Squads/Fraccions

      To encourage players to communicate and work with their Squads/Fraccions (which I will henceforth refer to as S/F because I'm lazy), S/F could also provide quests (Or 'missions' for immersion ;D). These wouldn't be given out freely unlike general quests. Instead, these need to be 'purchased' with S/F points from a series of available missions by officers. These quests could have rewards similar to Daily Quests, but they cannot be completed at the same time, essentially doubling a player's gains and their online time.  


      These quests could also have different ranks, and depending on their level of contributions, members can "unlock" higher ranked version of these quests. This would require a way to keep track of member contribution. It could be something as simple as every 1 S/F Point=1 Contribution or there would be additional ways e.g.: every 10 mins online=1 Contribution, every Race Point=2 Contribution. Swapping S/F would reset this, so as to promote activity and prevent S/F hopping for seats. To prevent abuse from the officers, these quests would need to be purchased in fixed batches and could also only be available for a limited amount of hours.


      To add another level of complexity to this, what quests are available for purchase by S/F officers can also be determined by the CC or K/QofHM. Like race boosts, they can be purchased, but only with race points and in limited quantities to stir up some competition between S/F.

Squads/Fraccions
Onto more general stuff about Squads/Fraccions!
Contests

    The power to create contests would be really nice, and could maybe be made available to all members of a S/F. It could have a page dedicated to it in S/F HQ where all active contests could be listed. The one hosting the contest would get a sort of "till" where they deposit the rewards before they set the win condition, rewards and duration of the contest. What types of contest could be made through this would of course be limited, but it would still be a neat tool. Easiest type of contest would be those measuring WoB statistics and data (AI kills, PvP wins, Boss damage, S/FP contribution, EXP gain by rank, etc.), but more subjective contests could also be possible. For instance, avatar contests could leave an empty box where participants can anonymously submitted their entries and the one who hosts the event will only see the entry and not the entrant's name. Upon further consideration, making if S/F only would be quite limiting :Y Inter-S/F or Interracial contests are also fun, but I guess to avoid spam, maybe only allow a limited amount of contests at the same time for each group. Another way to regulate this a bit more is to have a minimum prize till before any contest can be approved or limit the amount of contest that can be taking place based on a common prize cap for each group.

    Why I want this so bad:


Penalties
*takes out whips and paddles* I wanna see some punishments. These could range from something mild to the temporary boot. From what I've heard, one of the main concern is the possibility that officers could abuse this, so I'm still trying to think of some counter-measurements to that.

Possible Abuse-Prevention Measures:

  • Cooldown
  • Limited amount of punishments available at a time
  • Requires a vote from all 3 officers


Possible Penalties:

  • Decrease in S/F and Race Boost
  • Removal of same S/F killing protection. It would only be 1 way, meaning they can be attacked by members of same fraccion, but they can't attack.
  • Temporary Exile from the S/F. Duration could be 1 week or 1 month. They could still be earning R and S/F Points when killing opposite race for the former and members of other S/F for the latter.


Renegades
I reaaaaaaaally liked the idea of the troll Ghost Squads. As WoB is now, unless you're a team player, you're gonna be stepping on people's toes and there will be toes that you cannot crush due to same-S/F protection. This 'Renegade' faction could be for the hardcore PvPers who don't give a flying fudge about any and everyone. Exiled S/F members could also fall into this category.

(I'm still working on how to make Renegades different from Ghost Squads >< )

How to join
-Easy. Go to S/F HQ and click "Leave Faction"
-The Temporary Boot from your S/F officers.

How to return
-Exiles automatically return after their exile period has been over
-Apply in Race HQ. They will then have to earn X amount of Race Points and then wait a cooldown period before they can join the last S/F they were in.

Cons (or Pros in some cases)

  • Absence of Race and S/F Boosts
  • A X minute cooldown when travelling between worlds.
  • Only PvP protection is Rank PvP Protection, meaning you can be attacked or attack any race anywhere (even other Renegades)
  • No CK cooldown to protect them.
  • No fixed safe-zone. Their safe-zone is hidden to all but other Renegades, and changes location every 5-10mins.



Catch-Up Mechanics

Yes, this is another hollow complaining about the small number of players we have versus Shinigamis in addition to having less seat items. What I'm suggesting is to have an overall race boost given to the side with less active players per rank (which will of course be disabled during tourneys or the like). Still mostly incomplete because I don't know how to math for this.
