"A that's great then. I have some inclination in music as well but I can only play the Shamisen." Shinku sat by the table as he ask a waiter to order the usual coffee he gets and hands the waiter a tip. "Are you kind of warming up?"

"Hmmm...It looks like you're more inclined to western instruments than the japanese one. Well I believe it's close to what the westerners call as a guitar." Shinku's order finally came and he started do some small sips of his coffee as he listen to Asphalt play some odd tune similar to the usual tuning exercise for a G Major chord except for an extra F note.

"I'm actually really good at all different kinds of music " asphalt plays a Japanese tune. Asphalt asks the waiter for some water.

Shinku simply nodded as he takes another sip of his coffee. "How's your mission by the way? Well if you don't mind me asking." Perhaps it's a bit time for him to ask without the man suspecting him of anything. He stayed as natural as he is, keeping the tone of his voice in a lighter mood.

Shinku simply smiled. His question does have a hint of pulling him back to Seireitei but by the way he sees Asphalt's face by it, it looked more like a random question.

"Well I'd certainly go back to Soul Society in time but unfortunately, it would not be to return to Seireitei. I have plans of my own." Shinku took another sip of his coffee as he stare outside of the cafe.

"It was not my intention to fight for the soul society to begin with. I had my reasons why I joined the academy and aimed to get stronger. But that's not to follow the ideals of Seireitei." He answered casually keeping his stare outside. He took another sip of his coffee, as his mind seem to go somewhere else but still keep his attention to the man he is talking with.

Shinku was surprised. He didn't remember mentioning that he can play the piano. He was thinking of refusing but that would be a form of disrespect to the man. He took another sip of the coffee and walked towards the piano.

He placed his left hand at the D key of the second octave and his right hand at the D key of the third octave. And he started to hit the keys in an andante tempo.

He hit D with his left hand, then F# A D in an ascending manner. Quickly followed by A of the first octave with his left hand then E C# A with his right hand as well in an ascending manner. Then B with his left hand, then D F# B with his right hand, followed by a couple other notes.

"Shinku, looks like you got a friend. She looks very pretty but cold." Asphalt compliments. Asphalt orders Lipton tea as he looks at the mysterious girl.

Shinku kept on playing the keys like embracing every melody itself. For the first time, he is allowing his emotions to flow in him with every note that he touches. A canon, written by an Johann Pachelbel is what he played. A musical piece of serenity, mixed with passion. He played as if disconnecting himself from the real world, and dancing within the cage of his melodies by himself.

Shinku almost lost himself in the music but he suddenly felt the hands of someone shaking him up. He snapped out and upon turning his head, he saw Asphalt. "What was that again?" He stared at Asphalt suddenly confused of what just happened.

He then heard a familiar voice beside Asphalt before he showed him a lady who he said had known him. The lady asked Shinku if he remembers him, it did not have to take him that long to remember this one. She was one of the oldest friend he had during his time at Soul Society. She matured a bit in appearance but still there's no mistaking it. It was Bullet.

Shinku turned his head back to the piano. He can't look her in the eyes. Not now that he has already left them, not as a traitor who selfishly thought of his own desire for vengeance. He sat there in front of the piano, unable to speak of anything.

Asphalt spoke with the lady so Shinku didn't bother to answer just yet. For the first time, he's caught in confusion. He doesn't know what to say to a friend. Or is he afraid? Afraid of losing her again, though he already did. Bullet, Shigo and Kusaka. He already lost them when he decided to leave Soul Society.
