Moving moves and HSM Empty Moving moves and HSM

Post by Dead_pool Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:43 am

I had a thought on HSM skill boosting a Moving Move...boost effect or Damage idk but I think HSM would have more to offer then it would now and people would most likely train it to capping instead of stopping at certain points...I would say more but idk so please tell me what you think...please and thanks

maybe you move on map more than someone with low HSM.Maybe you can move 2 squadres instead one.

Instead of making HSM increase offensive moves what if it gave a small chance to dodge an attack. It could be like a lucky chance were it would reduce the amount of damage received or uber lucky where they avoid the attack completely if the HSM is high enough.

I like Daichi's suggestion. o-o On the contrary, if you have a higher HSM, your attacks'd have more chance to deal a critical strike or something of the sort?

I would go with Daichi's suggestion as well. I mean it makes more sense that HSM used to dodge rather than increasing damage dealt. And this should be based upon the difference between your HSM and the opponent's HSM as well. Maybe speed would also factor into it.

I think this was brought up a while ago not sure and don't really remember but I think dodging and glancing attacks were already turned down due to there being a blind spot to avoid attacks and would ruin the whole idea of the PvP grid imo, I think the damage increase isn't a bad idea but then everyone will just resort to moving attacks instead of stationary due to HSM effecting the damage... Critical hits? lol what is this Fire Emblem better implant that luck and skill stat... Don't really see that idea happening but who knows :3 I think HSM is fine the way it is not much you can add to it without making it trollol...

That's true...it was not something to see severe change in people...but something that rewards the player's efforts in training their HSM.

Dodging and glancing could work because x.5 moves are being introduced again. With range and width boosts, this could be 7.7 and trying to get to the blind spot isn't really a option in my opinion.

You do know barriers and AoE's counter moves with silly range? Moves like that will probably end up costing more pools or might do low damage compared to other moves

Basically moves that were taken out due to them being able to hit blind spots, you know that space where you can move so you can't be hit by anything on the grid? x,5 moves could hit there some people had them as zan moves with range boost making 3,5s hit 6,5 and so on got to the point where people with 5-7,5s couldn't even be touched lol and they wasn't balanced at all when they were first introduced so moves with wide range were hitting just as hard as moves with normal range.. So they was removed main problem was x,5 moves being effected by Range Boost..

On second note maybe HSM could be used as a damage modifier sorta like how SS and MS work but only for defense gives people a reason to train it since it would add additional defense not a large amount like SS and MS but a small amount that is slightly noticeable..

Lsm is balancing all of the moves out. He is also possibly introducing movement boost moves (So it was discussed in social) so getting to a blind spot will be a bit more possible.
