Out of pools
I have a suggestion and pokemon gave me the idea, like when they run out of PP, they perform the move struggle...which is a recoil move, say if that works when you run out of pools and you use it as a last ditch effort to win...I don't know what would take for it to work i just thought this would go good. and personally i see nothing wrong with it.

Re: Out of pools
So...they get to use a move without having the pools to do so? But it damages them? Could you elaborate a bit more please?

Hmm essentially health cost moves. Interesting, I like it. Best of all it doesn't require any coding \o/

Re: Out of pools
What would be the point? If that were implemented then let's say someone like Nao or Riku with capped stats would be able to freely hit you very hard with no regards besides a loss of heath giving them the chance to win a fight not fairly theirs to win after pooling out first.

Ex...I am trying to use a move but am out of pools I can not so I try to use it anyway, but instead I "struggle" and damage the opponent somewhat and myself. The move can be 1.1 stationary. I think just waiting to die stinks I like having something to fight with when I run out of pools, giving them a chance at winning...instead of none...or waiting to repool in battle. well Crow a good point there, I'm no pro at that but it's not going to be a heavy hitter, like I said it gives them a chance...and the range will not have to be huge...just move a bit away.

Re: Out of pools
Only if they were already winning. If their health was low, they'd just kill themselves with the recoil.

Re: Out of pools
Adding in heal to this, I can see this being abused by using a heal ability right before and then proceeding to heavy-hit with this health-cost move. I'd say make it only available when they have no more pools (or close to none)
as an example, I use mainly spirit and I am often left with extra stamina pools...how would this factor in? (I dun use stamina moves cause they're all weak xDD )

True Lsm, think about you were so close to winning then wham out of pools but your in luck and you have just enough HP, you use "struggle" and you win. and hrmmm maybe a "struggle" type move for SE,SP

Re: Out of pools
Exactly like Nao said and if your a "runner" or "regener" then you need their pools drained to take the high ground so to speak. But I can see it useful if it's a weak attack do to being used when pooled out from patrols/feeds and attacked just as easily.

Re: Out of pools
It wouldn't necessarily be unbalanced because it wouldn't do any more damage than a normal move. It would do average or lower damage, the difference would be instead of taking away from your pools it would recoil a % of the damage to you. Granted everything already needs to be re-balanced anyway, but that's another topic. Suggestion is good, given appropriate balance consideration it'll be fine.

Re: Out of pools
Question is how to set it up. Taking into account all the specs and how people train their stats.

Re: Out of pools
That i could be on board with Yoji but for me i think it has to be random like a default or level 1 move would be but all in all good idea.

Re: Out of pools
or instead of a attack you can transfer some health to your pools (so ppl wont think this new attack is op)
or like someone said before someone forces the move out (only happens with low hp) and it takes some health but takes a bit more health than the moves actually do cost like it willl take 1.5 more hp than it would with pools just a random number
either way wouldnt advise using it if your already losing and the second option wont even happen unless you dont have enough sp/se to do the move
